Prof Anne Gardner and
Prof Glenn Gardner (same surnames coincidental) have an established
internationally recognised collaborative track record in the field of health
services research and innovative nursing roles, specifically the nurse
practitioner. They collaborated in development of the Australian national nurse
practitioner competency standards. They provide the content and methodological
expertise for the project.
Prof Amanda Henderson
is an Australian leader in health professional teaching and clinical learning.
Prof Henderson will contribute expertise in educational theory and clinical
teaching and learning framework development.
Assoc Prof Fiona
Coyer is an experienced researcher and clinician, university teacher and
academic administrator. She will provide expertise in teaching design, clinical
learning and clinical liaison. Dr Coyer, as director of postgraduate teaching
at QUT, will take a major role in liaison with course staff and industry
partners for Phase 3.
Ms Helen Gosby NP is
President of the Australian College of Nurse practitioners. Ms Gosby will
provide essential industry liaison, coordination and Australia-wide
communication with nurse practitioner project participants and quality control
of project process. Her nurse practitioner specialty area is emergency
paediatrics.
Mr Shane Lenson NP is
a newly appointed lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine
at ACU, a colleague of Prof Anne Gardner and a novice researcher. He will
provide important clinical and teaching perspective to the project as well as
gaining valuable research experience.
